Goal

The Citizens Forum work will involve two phases:

In the first phase, the Citizens Forum will engage the public in a dialogue about health care costs and develop recommendations for cost control strategies that reflect the community's values. The recommendations will include both short-term steps that can be taken immediately and a "Vision 2010," a long-term plan for sustained change that will keep health care affordable into the next decade. This phase will be concluded in early 2004.
The second phase will involve working with all the necessary interest groups to plan and implement the major health care changes that will be necessary to preserve affordability and achieve our vision for the year 2010.
