The Berman Center has a 30-year history in the conduct of clinical trials, primarily in the areas of hypertension and hyperlipidemia. More recently, the Center has been participating in studies involving women's health issues such as osteoporosis and hormone replacement therapy.


Staff

The Berman Center has a highly qualified staff of academically-affiliated physicians, nurses, nutritionists, research scientists, and paramedical personnel who have expertise in patient recruitment and follow-up with accurate, timely collection of data for both industry- and government-sponsored trials.

Facilites

The BCCR occupies 7,500 square feet in the Parkside Professional Center on the Hennepin County Medical Center Campus. It is equipped with a large reception area, exam rooms, officies, medical record storage, and laboratory for collection and processing of samples. Special study monitoring procedures include ambulatory blood pressure and electrocardiogram monitors, cardiac stress testing, carotid ultrasound, echocardiography and bone densitometry.

Patient Recruitement

The Berman Center has a varied and proven patient volunteer pool to ensure timely enrollment. Special populations easily accessed include older adults and women.
