Mission
The Center for Plants and Human Health is a catalyst for collaboration at the interface of plant science, agriculture, and medicine.
Goals
The Center is a catalyst for interdisciplinary collaboration to:
- Link food development, production, processing, and distribution to consumer choice, preparation, consumption, and metabolism
- Promote development of whole foods that are effective in prevention and/or treatment of disease
- Promote identification and characterization of naturally occurring plant products that may have preventative and/or curative properties
